Greenwich Woman Struck By Vehicle In Serious Condition

A Greenwich woman is recovering from serious injuries after being struck by a car while crossing Arcadia Road, according to Greenwich Police.

The 59-year-old Greenwich resident was hit around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday as she was crossing Arcadia Road at its intersection with Sound Beach Avenue when the vehicle struck her, knocking her to the ground, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police, he said.

The unidentified woman was transported to a local hospital by GEMS.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Greenwich Police Department’s Traffic Section.
